CASH Structure & Committees
Creating Assets, Savings and Hope (CASH) Buffalo enlists the support of several committees in order to achieve its goal of increasing the financial stability of hard working, low income individuals and families.
– meets semi-annually to review strategic goals and activities and provide feedback on new and existing initiatives. Membership is open to any individual or organization which supports the goals and objectives of CASH.
– meets quarterly and reviews committee actions for the previous quarter and develops recommendations for future committee activities. Membership is from the full coalition and members self-nominate or choose to participate in that activity.
– Seeks to increase the number of dollars coming into the community from available tax credits while providing free tax preparation services.
- Provides coordinated and consistent financial literacy education and training to adults, college students and children by using coordinated messages and materials.
– Improve access to a variety of programs and opportunities for families and individuals to obtain and maintain assets including bank accounts, securing an education, and property purchases.
- Strengthen pathways to employment through education and outreach of existing program resources.
– Work to educate and influence all community leaders, government officials, and non-profit organizations on community needs.
